Grieg Lodge to Hold Vigil for Victims of Norwegian Massacre

Sons of Norway Grieg Lodge in Portland will hold a memorial vigil Tuesday, July 26, from 3-9 pm at Norse Hall, 111 NE 11th Ave, Portland, 97232, to show its grief and compassion for victims of the July 22 massacre in Norway.  The public is invited to participate and sign a card, which will be sent to Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg from the people of Portland to the people of Norway. 

"This will be an opportunity for people to come together, talk and express their grief and compassion, and communicate that to Norway," said Bjorn Bakke, President of Grieg Lodge.

Founded in 1910, Grieg Lodge is the Portland chapter of International Sons of Norway.  Based at historic Norse Hall, the lodge is an all-ages, all-volunteer, non-profit fraternal organization dedicated to community service and social, cultural, educational and humanitarian pursuits.
